Further to my previous post...

It was brought to my attention, by an aside in an article by Ed Clowney in Modern Reformation, that Isaiah, in the context of the LORD's judgment, prophesied that the LORD "put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head" (Isaiah 59:17)

Of course, Paul, writing in Ephesians 6, tells the believers to put on the breastplate of righteousness and the helmet of salvation. The implications of such a direct link haven't made themselves immediately apparent, but I'm sure over time some will.
